Here is a tutorial to root your device,unlock bootloader,install custom recoveries and flash your favorite rom.

First of all your root your device and install custom reccovery device. Here is a guide to that.

Requirements:

1. Download update.zip from here and supersu_redmi1s.zip fro here.

Procedure:

1. Copy downloaded files to internal storage of your device.
2. Go to updater app -> options menu -> reboot to recovery.
3. Choose ENGLISH language with volume keys.
4. Choose update from install update.zip to system one.
5. Reboot system.
6. Open recovery as earlier.
7. You can see that you have successfully installed Philz touch recovery.

Guide to use recovery:

 Use power button and volume button for selection and navigation.

Install zip ->Choose zip from external_sd (some times sdcard1) -> navigate down and choose the zip and say yes if prompted (All using power button(selection) and volume buttons(navigation).

After flashing completes -> reboot system -> say yes for fixing recovery.

You have successfully rooted your device.

Now its time to flash your favorite ROM's on your device.Here is a guide to do it:

Procedure:

1. Download your favorite ROM.You can download some roms from here.
2. Copy it to your internal or external storage.
3. Reboot your device to recovery.
4. Wipe system,data,cache,dalvik-cache.
5. Install rom from your copied location.
6. Reboot your device.
7. Enjoy your favorite ROM.
